ABOUT THE PARK

The family-owned Machrihanish Holiday Park holds a 5-star rating from Visit Scotland, reflecting exceptional standard of service and facilities. Situated on the idyllic west coast of the Kintyre Peninsula, the park provides the perfect base for enjoying a rich variety of year-round attractions.

Tee off on one of two World Top 100 golf courses, then take in panoramic views from the Clubhouse overlooking the famous 1st tee – described by Jack Niklaus as the ‘best opening hole in the world’.

Just 10 minutes’ walk from the park, discover Machrihanish Beach – a 3-mile stretch of golden sand that’s a haven for seabirds, seals, dolphins and the occasional shy otter.

Opposite the beach entrance, you’ll find the Old Clubhouse, a friendly village pub serving delicious bar meals. The Ugadale Hotel is situated here too, offering refined yet relaxed dining in the Kintyre Restaurant & Bar, and a range of spa therapies.

Round off your day back in your lodge savouring breath-taking sunsets over the islands of Jura and Islay.

LOCAL AREA
Kintyre has it all – unspoilt beaches, rugged landscapes, ancient castles, world-class golf, whisky distilleries, gift shops galore, and a brilliant choice of restaurants, cafés and pubs where you’ll receive the warmest Scottish welcome.

Nearby Campbeltown was once the ‘whisky capital of the world’, home to over 30 distilleries in its heyday! Take a tour of one of the three remaining distilleries in town. Or venture up the stunning east coast to Torrisdale Castle Estate and visit the distillery which is putting Kintyre on the map for gin.

Back in Campbeltown, walk the natural shingle causeway to Davaar Island, a sea island in the mouth of Campbeltown Loch. Enjoy exceptional views of the town and over to Arran and the Ailsa Craig.

You’ll find plenty to keep everyone in the family entertained. From surfing to sailing lessons, outdoor playparks for little ones to our Art Nouveau cinema, to fitness activities and swimming, there’s lots on offer all year round.
